Description
Distance learning librarians provide library services to distance learning students and faculty. Those services are expected to be equivalent to those accessible on campus. To provide equivalent service, a vision shared by colleagues in the library, the teaching faculty, and the distance learning staff may be needed. This study examines those visions that guided the planning and delivery of distance learning library services, explores the components of those visions and the people who helped shape them, and determines whether there are differences in those visions by geographic region or institution type.
