Description This article addresses the methodology of teaching statistics and challenges the current model of teaching statistics as an applied mathematics course by offering a new model more suited to the professional adult student already established in a mid-career administrative position. The key challenge is to minimize the applied mathematics aspect and emphasize reading and interpreting statistical reports as opposed to designing statistical studies and computations.
